... headed to the public school to spend 3 hours painting classrooms. It was hot and exhausting, and tricky to do without water or rags. Once again, however, the kids stepped up with such eagerness, and worked till it was done.

After dinner at the hotel, the kids enacted the quincianos ceremony. Which is basically a fake wedding ceremony to celebrate her coming of age. Kayleys fathers, Natalie and Annalore, toasted her and helped her choose her court. Today Kayley turned 15, she got to celebrate her quincianos in Latin America.

Today was a good day. After a breakfast of Fruit Loops and Sobrino, we got on the guagua headed towards Cabral. Today Leah went with us, so we made it there for sure. We waited a bit for Eduardo to pick us up (Eduardo is the medical student interested in OB/GYN whose Dad is Dr. Gray's friend).
