... in this tasting and closed down the place at 5:00. Steve and I had been close by this vineyard five years ago when we tasted down the road at the Maresh Red Barn. Little did we know that this land we were standing on was once owned by the older owner of Maresh. Look closely in my pictures and you will see the quaint little red barn in the distance.

... hour on the train. Sadly, on the ride to the Gresham station, the bike got locked in a gear, so I had texted Elise to ask for a ride, instead of trying to bike home on a broken bike. We spent Friday night at the Embassy Suites in Old Town Sacramento. Before hitting the road, heading home, we enjoyed a very good breakfast at the hotel. Taking our plates outside, we had a great table beside the river promenade in sight of the Tower Bridge. Our northbound route took us up I-5. ... The train had Wi-Fi. It was great. Grandpa made a comment about how the view around the train tracks isn't great...a lot of junkier places around, not too great scenery a lot of the time.
