... able to drive that monster on some of the roads we'd traveled on this trip!

We spent our last couple of evenings visiting friends and family. Our friends Eve and Patrick invited us over for dinner, and Iris was excited to get to play with their daughter's dress-up clothes! Both of the kids had fun playing with the toys, games, and neighbors, and Molly and I got to spend some time with old friends. We hadn't ...

... about 7 years ago. We're very lucky that she has a one bedroom with a delightful kitchen and comfortable hide-a-bed. After Shea gets home and Joan joins us, we head out to TriBeca for dinner at "Distilled". We crossed couple of Portland's many bridges and could look across to the city. The riverfront has been smartened up quite a bit. We popped into the Nike Store to see what Linda does and walked around Pioneer Square and saw the popular food stalls. Lunch was in Deschutes, a brewery with an excellent ...

... The train had Wi-Fi. It was great. Grandpa made a comment about how the view around the train tracks isn't great...a lot of junkier places around, not too great scenery a lot of the time. Then he goes, well, they probably don't bother making it look nice because all you people are just watching your screens. In my defense, he did play solitaire for a while. Lindsay, Neil, and Edith picked us up at Portland's Union ...
