So odd to say good morning after two months of saying hello in Chinese. Through customs now have 4 hours to relax until my flight to Chicago. Day 2 started with a 20 minute walk to Pier 33 in cloudy cool weather to catch our Ferry to Alcatraz. ... Tension is high in the car as the two travellers try and work together to get out of the city. GPS starts working once they have navigated their way out of the city. It informs the pair that they will be in Monterey by 3.30. With traffic banking up Cirsty and Ryan decide to stop for some lunch at Sam Chowder house (Half Moon Bay). By old, as our driver told us, 1000 years old vs the new section which is 100s of years old. Lots if old narrow streets with so many restaurants and shops. On Thursday morning Bhavik happened to have a meeting down in Sunnyvale, which is where I was heading that day too. It worked out really well, because I could catch a ride down there with him. I was going to visit Robert, our family friend who I stayed with for Thanksgiving while I was in San Jose last November too.
