... fresh fish which everyone really enjoyed (except me, since I don't eat fish.) About 10 pm, the youngsters went off in a boat shuttle to a pirate club that caters to folks on these boats. ... slipped on a rock and fell. I hurt my hand and got a small bruise on my cheek. I'm glad I had taken off my glasses because they were steaming up. I might have broken them is I had them on. So, no serious damage done; just a few bruises. It was really hot and we were sweating buckets, but we are glad that we w et. We got back at 11. Tomorrow, we have our Blue Cruise pick up at 10:30 am. ... a late change in to proper shoes, and thank god - bloody path was straight up, using massive steps that a giant would struggle on. We made it to the flames hot and sweaty as hell, which were crazy weird, just seeping out of the side of the hill at various places. Very cool to see at nighttime and insane that you could just walk around and right up to them... A group had even set up some rocks on top of it and started BBQing ...

... a lovely walk.it just takes a lot of drinking water to power any outing, as it has been warm and quite humid. Then we made our way to the impressive Perge, just wishing we could see it in its full glory back in time as well. ... B.C. It was known as one of the first cities to mint coins. The first minted coins found from Aspendos date back to 500 B.C. The city is most know for its theatre which is believed to be one of the best preserved in the world. It was built in the 2nd century AD. and could hold 7000 people. Unfortunately the theatre was closed for renovations but we got some great pictures from outside.
