Except for a little confusion just prior to our trains departure, the last three coaches needed to be empty but no TrenItalia staff informed the passengers until the last minute. So, we all had to quickly move to other coaches closer to the front. But, we departed on time, 13:10 hrs and arrived in Como on time at 13:46 hrs. Only ...

... have coffee while they wait. There are no ticket machines in sight but we see a parking inspector and ask. He tells us that it is free for two hours and you have to write the time you arrive on a note and leave on your dashboard. You think that would work in Australia? So we head our respective ways. The boys arrive at the cable car station only to discover it is closed until 2:30 - siesta! Oh we'll, I guess we have lunch first. We walk back to find the girls, past the car where ...
