... sets back out for Canada. Dad took me and Carmen downtown to the old part of Zadar. We went over by boat, only about a 3 minute ride across the marina so that was cool. We did some shopping and walking around. Saturday nights are crazy busy downtown. So many things to see and do and it was a nice night, so many tourists and locals were out. It was apparently something that was created as a millennium structure along with a 'welcoming of the sun' piece too. The sea organ was heard by us before we saw it!!! So cool!!! Its basically an organ like you would get in a church etc but built and placed along the sea so that the waves naturally create constant music!!! People can and were just sitting ...

The first is a sea organ. This is a series of pipes underneath marble steps which resonate as the air is compressed by the waves and currents. The lengths of the pipes were specially chosen to produce notes which harmonise. Each time we visited, the pipes were playing - it's a bit eerie to listen to.

And that was that. Back to work on Monday. How depressing. But it was a great trip. Met some cool people, saw some great sights, drank some good beer, eventually got some sun. Loved it all round the Balkans, preferred it there to Poland/Slovakia/Hungary. Hopefully we'll draw somewhere near there in the group stages so I can actually get round to going to Plitvice!
