... the stop was the thunderstorm which came out of nowhere and stuck about 10 minutes before we were due to be picked up. Lighting and thunder directly over our heads with torrential rain and even hail. Which was hard to believe as it was still about 30 degrees out. Everyone got soaked. The bus stank a little. ... huge and I'm sure it was absolutely breathtaking back in its day. The couple was conspicuous and took great pride in their yard; they had a cave built and also a huge pond for fish. The villa was quite large, even by today's standards. As the years have caused wear and tear on the villa and garden, things look somewhat unkempt. It is unfortunate the yard is not better taken care of. It would be good to turn this place into a tourist attraction by fixing it up ...

As we head South down the coast, the streets become more windy, narrower, the walls older and the markets spill further across the street, you can feel that we're getting closer to places like Turkey and Syria. Tonight, if all goes to plan, we'll be on a night bus to Sarajevo, Bosnia.
