We stopped for a beer at the pub on the way back to the cottage.

This was a really good tour, long enough to get a feel for it but not too long to get really cold. We could hire Snowmobiles and DIY but we donīt know where to go!! The tracks all look the same and it is all white! One of the other guests said the same thing that they prefer to go on a tour with a guide. I think you would have to go quite a few times before you could really feel confident on your own.

... just for some 10 minutes. This all means that once the Aurora Borealis is running you better hurry up or you will miss it ...
Normally we are on site well in advance, have all the time to scout good nearby locations with nice backgrounds, to setup tripod and camera, get every thing prepared to be ready when the show starts.
This time was different. The Northern Lights were running while we were driving. Every one of us was anxious to get out of the car and ...

... hours here. At sunrise or sunset he invisible very low standing sun illuminates the horizon with a juicy light-rose which gradually turns over in a glowing deep blue ... what a fantastic color palette of nature.

Well, we can't win every night, can we? The Aurora Borealis forecast for this night was a very low level, close to a zero. Nevertheless we tried hard to get some of the magic but did not succeed ...
