      ... br> The park or social committees have hosted a few potlucks and a Christmas gift exchange. One event paid for by the owner of the park provided all the food and booze and gave away some nice prizes to the staff. I think its the first time he has coughed up something for the staff and park residents and considering the high rents here, its about time.

      Well theres nothing like a little action to wake up a sleepy little Mexican town like Penasco. It has been absolutely dead here for a while despite the temperatures finally warming up a little. However, this morning we awoke to the sounds of Mexican Federales buzzing around in 3 Apache helicopters, 3 planes circling and a gunship on the water. About 5:30am , approximately 500 meters from our campsite, one of the Apache's opened fire with their 50mm guns on a pickup truck ...
