... they are brilliant, my son had the time of his life and even got a certificate for best driver of the day.
The weather was lovely and the people friendly. We both had a great time.

... sun. Not the wind so much and you get dust from the Sahara blowing in which made it impossible to see Lanzarote across the way at times.
I found a relaxed hostel at the north end of town that had a nice back yard and deck leading down to the shore. I didn't get up to much during my time here apart from the beach, sun and cheap food and drink. Caught some of the World Cup matches and the F1 at a local bar, Alis Tavern, run by an Irish lady and her Italian boyfriend that was good ...

Monday 9th June
Its home time today, and to make the most of it, we're up at the crack of dawn and out by the pool again before our 10am shuttle to the airport. I will be sad to leave the sunshine, cactus's and ocean, but will not miss having to dispose of toilet paper in a bin (due to their delicate system)! Adios Lanzarote, hasta luego!
... Today we're catching the brand spanking new Edinburgh trams to the airport! What an experience, they are so fast and flash and run almost door-to-door for us. Kev is convinced that the tram bells sounds like the McDonalds beeping timers, and talks about how hungry he is the whole way!
After a 4.5 hours, we have survived the Ryan Air flight and land in the volcanic island that is Lanzarote. It is far from pretty, but an incredible landscape to look over, almost lunar like. ...
... hat and bright pants with no luck. ****. Finally while walking it again I ran into Derrick's parents! Yes people I know!!! I stayed with them and we saw Dave pass by on his second lap and Derrick on his first. Then with 90 minutes to kill before we saw them again we grabbed a bite to eat and escaped the sun.
