6 weeks left here in benidorm before a flying visit back home to see everyone then im off to Thailand, Oz and Fiji for a few months travelling.
Currently loving the 'dorm, its probably the most random and bizzare place to rep and although its a bit quiet at the moment having amazing nights out with the rest of the fantastic team we have here, still time to come and see me!!!
... and the marina are excellent. We took the opportunity to try out the Tapas at one of the sea front restaurants. The food was excellent and great value for money.
We both agree that as we had brought Lucy along that we could have stayed over in the Camper but we had put a casserole on in the slow cooker at home so we had to go back...We are definitely revisiting Mazarron and will be staying over next time.
Well would you believe it? I've been working for the last 2 days. A friend of Dave's who I met a couple of weeks ago needed a Brickie to build a couple of pillars. So, I dusted off the old trowel. It's been a long time but you never lose it.
Amanda is back tonight. I'm picking her up at Alicante Airport at about 11.30pm. Lucy and me have really missed her and we are both looking forward to seeing her...Ahhh.
... a receipt.
I gave it half an hour before ringing the electric company at first they couldn't find it but then it appeared on the screen...How long? I ask...Within 24 hours, and its going to cost another 20 euros re-connection fee.
I've had to postpone the fitting of the Telephone and Internet due to the electricity situation until Monday...Manana, Manana, Manana.
Good news...reconnected at 10 to 6....Yippee!
... the day! Here we go again..Manana, Manana, Manana!
No electric=no cooking so I went down to the Lo Dolses Centro Comercial to find a pub that cooks as I don't want to be in a Restaurant on my own. Found a Scottish bar that does food and thought I might be able to watch the Celtic and Hamburg game. Had a good night ended up watching the game with 2 Scottish Lads, Tony the owner and Matty from Glasgow as well as a couple from Hamburg. Good craic and a friendly bar.
... glass looking out over the Atlantic. We have to take care when crossing the roads, as the traffic drives on the opposite side to that of Aussie, so we have been caught looking the wrong way and almost stepping in front of a car. The first five days have been very relaxing and we have certainly enjoyed it, and for the next week we plan on doing a little more sightseeing, as the forecasts show the bad weather is over, and warm sunshine is predicted from here on.
Puerto del Carmen, Morocco bandglittle... shade trees, and hedges gently divide the gardens into discrete havens of tranquillity. The smell of oranges is in the air, the tangy scent of the fruit in evidence even in November. Despite the crowds, you could find a moment of peace by stepping off the main path and into one of these small areas. Now it's off to the second major jewel in the Alhambra's crown, the Generalife palace. Not, it's not named after an insurance company. This is the summer ...
Granada, Spain media4Here is a little more information about my time in Valencia. Close to our dorm is the Plaza Azuca which is about a five minute walk, they have lots of restaurants, supermercados, and pubs it's really convenient but I try not to go there all the time and take the trip downtown to get to know more of the city. One of the most popular places down town is El barrio Carmen; they have a lot of ...
Valencia, Spain jlm04hHi everyone, I feel extremely bad that it has taken me a month to get this web site working, but it really is because Iīve been so busy over here. Between classes, field trips, individual trips, and exploring the city I really havenīt had any free time...I havenīt been bored for a second over here. Valencia is an amazing city, I think itīs the perfect size. It is a big enough city that it has a lot of history, beautiful old ...
Valencia, Spain jlm04h... that's already opened this Sunday. Things are locked tight in most of Granada today, but everything's open in the "tourist" area, and I'm only a couple of block away. It's a fine, sunny day, promising a warm afternoon...much better than I could hope to expect back home in Ottawa at this time of year.
