First day
... we veered off to the Southwest to follow the 'Seaway Trail' along the shore of Lake Erie. We did this for about 2 hours, including a lunch break at Hamburg Town Beach where we sat on a log by the water's edge. Not bad for February! Our route will take us out of Canada at Fort Erie, we'll then avoid the interstate (where possible and follow Route #62 down into the Allegheny National Forest, to end up in Kane, PA. There we will be staying at the Kane Manor, a very fancy looking B & B. Here's the link if you want to check it out

We worden wakker terwijl onze bus het parkeerterrein van een park bij Lake Eerie opschommelt.
Wat gaan we hier doen? Zwemmen! Voor het ontbijt nemen we allemaal al een dip in het koude water van het meer. Wat heerlijk, het lijkt de Noordzee wel, hahaha! Let wel, dit is een meer zo groot, dat je de overkant niet zien kunt en het een natuurlijke golfslag heeft....
