    ... went to the pool and the staff gave everyone a water pistol so the Songkran festivities began! Songkran is the Thai new year and is celebrated with an all day party and water fight. So staff and guests joined in, although a water fight in a pool seems a little pointless!

    We left mainland Thailand and started our short island hopping tour of the Andaman coast, first stop Ko Phi Phi, and the minute you arrive here you know this is backpacker central.     We arrived at koh lanta and had no where to stay so the minivan driver kindly stopped at a hostel for us, due to it being late chel and I checked in to our first dorm room (luckily we only ended up with 1 other person our room).
