    Relaxed island holiday!

Nice Beach Resort was clean and very friendly and helpful. Rooms were air conditioned and restaurant food was delicious. We were able to hire scooters from the resort which made it easy to explore the Island.

    Do not stay here!

Although the service is wonderful and the location is great, the rooms are vile and dirty. They are not simply outdated, they are run down and unkempt. Unless they do a major overhaul of their rooms there are far better accommodations for less money around. Absolutely do not recommend this place.

On our way back to the hotel, we talked to the tailor and picked up our washing before going home. After dad and I were both in bed we watched a documentary on the Australian network before going to sleep. ...

... complete contrast to the austerity of the open road. I am managing a property that not only exudes beauty in it's structure and surrounding, it is also a damn solid piece of architecture! And it is as if the tons of concrete poured into this place is what I need to anchor me from simply floating away. It wraps me up in an embrace and says, "Yeah, for now... you belong here."

And you know what? It feels good to belong.

The start of the journey to Australia was upon us in the morning with our first stop in Kuala Lumpur so early to bed for our last night in Thailand.
