Nice Beach Resort was clean and very friendly and helpful. Rooms were air conditioned and restaurant food was delicious. We were able to hire scooters from the resort which made it easy to explore the Island.

    Do not stay here!

Although the service is wonderful and the location is great, the rooms are vile and dirty. They are not simply outdated, they are run down and unkempt. Unless they do a major overhaul of their rooms there are far better accommodations for less money around. Absolutely do not recommend this place.

In good news, the sun found me! In bad news, it resulted in quite the sunburn.

Anyone who has ever traveled with me/known me for more than 10 seconds knows that I am quite anal retentive about sunscreen given that I have a penchant for burning quite quickly. I am not opposed to garnering some form of bronzed colour, however, I generally …

... had a look round the correct night market, where I bought new flip flops as sadly my havianas died and tie dye top. Then we had a lovely mojito whilst sitting outside watching thai people do karaoke and small children break dancing, it was a good night! Then it was Joelle's last day with us so we decided to go to the tiger temple which you have to climb 1260 very steep steps, we made it to 333 (it was far too hot). So instead we went to the cave and watched ...

... capable of scaling the steep hills and stopping you on the way back down and found Drunken Sailors bar for fresh fruit shakes and lunch. The darkening sky's gave us plenty of warning and we headed home just in time. We stopped for supplies at the seven eleven where we were awarded two free Chang's for no reason whatsoever. We got home just as the thunder started; still feeling weather lucky. We sat on our private deck with the rain coming down in bullets, finished our ...

... Irish bar on our way from the pier so we headed there for some pub grub and were chatting to the manager who was from Belfast. Connor was hoping to see the Championship game but the bar had to do a lock down from 10pm until it started at 2am so thankfully he decided against it! We just got back to our bungalow when the thunder and lightning started again which was intense so we sat and watched this for a while before going to sleep. The next day we thought we would ...
