Nice Beach Resort was clean and very friendly and helpful. Rooms were air conditioned and restaurant food was delicious. We were able to hire scooters from the resort which made it easy to explore the Island.

    Do not stay here!

Although the service is wonderful and the location is great, the rooms are vile and dirty. They are not simply outdated, they are run down and unkempt. Unless they do a major overhaul of their rooms there are far better accommodations for less money around. Absolutely do not recommend this place.

We hired 4 Scooters for the day @ 200 Baht. Me dinkied on the back of David and Trent on the back of Carly and took off, free and easy, down to the southern tip of Ko Lanta, to the National Park.....we had to pay an entrance fee of 1280 Baht for the 6 of us.

Small grey monkeys were everywhere, we even viewed one in the mating act. David …

Sunday morning dawns too early, for Carly and Trent after their anniversary night. Our taxi van arrived 7:00 am sharp and no Carly and Trent. A Knock on their door revealed they had slept through their alarm. A flurried pack in 5 minutes and we were on our way to the ferry harbour - bound for Lanta on the Ao Nang Princess - a 4 hour trip/cruise …

After finishing our coffees we started off on our journey back to our hotel. Just enough time to quickly wash off then go to Noon Restaurant Bar and Viewpoint located in Kantiang Bay which is in the southwest part of the island. This spot was suppose to ...

... we could not stop in Phi Phi because it was rainy and the weather forecast did not allow us to stay outside and swim. So, we headed to our hotel in Phuket, and stayed there for most of the afternoon after lunch. We ware going to go to the beach in Patang, but once we got to the beach, we turned around and went back to our hotel because it was so crowded and people looked so miserable. Around Patang, there are a lot of luxury resorts that have ...

We woke up early the next morning without a hangover (unlike most of the island as it was full moon last night and a Saturday). We headed for a hike to a lookout over the island that I read was magnificent. We followed the signs through the town and started walking up a long road. Going the right direction only…. Uphill. Randomly we still found signs so we knew we were ok. What I didn't read was that we needed to pay 20 baht to access the viewpoint… ...
