However we soon stumble in to number 2 which is a mangrove walk, which provides some welcome relief from the sun and a good look at an environment which is very difficult to explore. As the tide was out we saw lots of little mud crabs, some had one big read claw much bigger than the other one. Thankfully none of them were as big as the statue or we would have been in trouble!

After all this excitement we are ...

Early start this morning with a 5am pickup from the hotel to head to the Royal Phuket Marina to join the Phi Phi Sunrise tour with Simba Tours - a power boat tour for 14 intrepid tourists. The early start was largely to avoid the large crowds of boats that head out each day with tourists, but also to enjoy the sunrise during our 1 hour ride across, though the 1m swell did make it a little ...
