... transforms that theme into 5-star quality, with a manned egg station, baked beans that have not only been baked but soaked beforehand, an entire wall of tropical fruit, mouth-watering Thai food, cold cuts, bacon, sausages of all types, yogurt, cereal, at least ten tropical juices or fruits blended with ice, pastries, artisan bread, and an assortment of seductive Thai desserts. Sometimes there are even donuts! And the best part? Fresh-brewed coffee. As in, the kind that comes from ...

... catching the 2-for-1 Mojitos Happy hour between 5 and 7pm along the beach, watching the breathtaking sunset, to then go to the one bar where tourists gathered that night. It seemed to us that all of the tour companies go to the same spots so we chose one that seemed good. The Ko Rok islands are a fair distance away so companies use speed boats to get you there. As a sign of things to come we were driven two minutes down the road and then taken to what we consider our beach and hung out for twenty minutes as we watched all of the other boats load ...

    Koh Phi Phi

We caught an early boat and 2 hours we arrived in a busy paradise. Koh Phi Phi was as I expected, extremely touristy and busy but not spoilt and the beach was really nice. Finding accommodation proved difficult as it was expensive. It took us about 45 minutes to settle for a place slightly cheaper but with a minimum stay of two nights. That's fine, we will need a bit longer hear as we arrived late. What we weren't told was that there were no ...
