... the final drag down the coast road to Tynemouth to take in the Priory and the statue to local naval hero, Collingwood. And so, with a few clicks of the camera this trip around Scotland and Northern England was pretty much done. All that remained was to have dinner - tonight we chose salmon and champagne (the only way to end a trip like this). ... the boarder. Luckily we didn't know exactly when we'd crossed the border, if we had we may just have decided to stop and not bother crossing. A quick detour to Holy Island which seems like a great place, but we didn't get any time to properly explore due to the rising tide and the risk of being caught on the island for 4 or 5 hours, so we will do our tidal homework tonight and plan our visit for some time tomorrow.
