"Tuk-tuk". "Good Lord, is it? There was me thinking it was a billiard table". (That one really gets them).

We got back to Hikkaduwa with enough time to check into our hotel and go for a swim. I went for a run along the beach because there are a few tourists around and it seems safe enough. A friendly old man approached us on the platform and we got talking, asking the predictable "where are you from?" and "where are you going?". He ultimately was trying to get us to stay at his villas down the coast, we declined gratefully as we already had accommodation booked (one thing I've leant is to try and book at least one nights accommodation before you arrive ...
