... to come home very much.

but i need to just get a grip, toughen up and get on with it, i am in a tropical country,near the equator, and these things are just common day to day things over here. so i just need to buck up really. i'm worried that eddi is going to start to think i am a nightmare, but i suppose as long as i am good in classes and dont start running about the room throwing more buckets at imaginary things it will be fine! my first solo class tomorrow, i am nervous!

... wurde komplett geflutet und von den Wassermassen durch die Gegend gespuelt.
Zu der Zeit waren viele in Ferien und am Strand baden. Als die erste, eher ruhige Welle kam stieg der Meeresspiegel nicht so arg, doch als dann das Wasser 1,5km zurueckging haben Fischer die Fische, die nun rumlagen holen wollen. Touris wollten das Spektakel fotografieren, als dann die 35 Feet, also ca. 10m hohe und viel schnellere zweite Welle 40.000 ...

... a chicken burger. The fries were fine, the coke was standard fountain watery, but whatever was standing in for meat was inedible. Debbie's chicken was not fully cooked, and I learned on inquiry that my “burger” was an outsourced mash of chicken and vegetables. It was pale grey and wet inside a dark, crisp shell. We left still hungry and about 600 Rs lighter.

... you ever seen a fuel tanker overtake a bus which is overtaking a Tuk Tuk on a blind corner? We have. We learnt 3 words in Singalese in our first couple of days in Sri Lanka, 1: "Istutde"- thank you, 2- "Harrihydi": very nice (for food) and "Phissu" - which means: "Crazy", especially used for the Bus Drivers (note; since heard that Indian traffic is ten times worse- how is anyone left alive in India?)
