... having the best beach on Penang. Our Indian taxi driver spent the journey bemoaning the number of Arabs who holiday there and how unreliable and cheap he found them. We listened in the embarrassed silence white people lapse into when they hear other races get stuck into each other. More racial stereotyping when he assumed we were staying in one of the big fancy resorts, confirmed by his dropping face when we pulled up at a tired motel on the wrong side of the beach road.

... court in the port and off to the wildlife park. Our childish side very much enjoyed the wildlife park, as at the bginning you bough a big bag of food with nuts, seeds, vegetables, lettuce and fish food in, and next to every animal was a sign telling you what to feed them! This was good fun; almost like a half decent whitehouse farm!



Megs particularly enjoyed her time as doctor dolittle in the rabbit pen.

... some clueless dope is feeding. We cant get them off the bike and they get vicious. There was a bit of throwing things and they got more vicious so we walked away until they got bored enough of the bike and there was only one or two to deal with. Anita wont go near the bike tho with the monkeys around so I wheel it up the road a bit and quess what, the stinking thing wont start!!! The waterfalls are off the main tourist trail and quite isolated so we patiently wait for
various people ...
