We finished our last locks of the trip! Yahoo!
We stayed at the Troy public docks and walked the city area. It was hopping with many people beginning their weekend celebrations and lots of outdoor restaurants were full of diners enjoying the warm summer night.

... but slow as we stuck to the speed limit. With cruise control the driving couldn't be easier, and the beautiful picturesque farmland of Vermont's lower valleys made it a pleasant drive. We arrived at Great Barrington at dinner time and had a tasty Greek meal at a restaurant called Aegean Breeze - yum! ... But, we survived!

Got to very picturesque Bennington, VT at about 1545 hours. Sunny and nice out. Beautiful day all around. Had about 2 seconds worth of sprinkles near Rochester, NY, but that was it!

Off to Ramunto's Pizza and Pub for an early dinner, since we did not stop for lunch.

547 miles for me today, on about 2 hours of sleep. Road weary for sure!

... with amazing views at the top of the mountains. We drove through a town where every 10 feet the speed limit changed from 30mph to 40, back to 30, 40, 30, 40. There wasn't time to change speed to accommodate. Good thing there were no state troopers because we were doing 50! Nite-Ize review The Nite-Ize headlamp has been great, we have been doing more night hikes.
