At 3am this morning we were woken up by a consistent, light rain which had soaked our tent. We managed to sleep through the dampness for another couple of hours and at 6am we decided to take everything out of the tent and head to the kitchen area where it was dry. ... we came to the realisation it was not the best of hostels as we climbed 5 floors and discovered our room was the size of a small toilet with 3 other girls staying in there, who had literally unpacked there entire lives all over the floor.you could not see a inch of carpet, the worst thing was we only had one bed so we had to try cram all our stuff and us into the tiniest of spaces, we usually had a whole spare bed to dump our bags on. ... we will never forget After the climb it was nearly lunch time and after facing our fear of heights we thought we deserved a drink naturally haha we went to a hotel nearby and sat for a while chatting about the climb and buzzing that we had done it. ... point, I had a great view of the naval dockyard with several large vessels. Each of the vessels actually had a small kangaroo painted on them.
From the tip of Mrs. Macquaries point, the Sydney Harbor skyline came into view. The sight was absolutely gorgeous with the Opera House, Harbor Bridge, and city skyline. I enjoyed slowly making my way from the point to the Opera ...
