We didn't make a ton of progress on the map yesterday, but did a lot. I took the Mini in to get the oil changed and purchased some roof rack crossbars so we could go to REI and get a cargo box. It remains debatable whether we needed it or not, but it looks awesome!! A quick stop at the Mall Of America, lunch at an Italian place, Tucci Benucch, (I needed some lasagna!) Off we go! ... aren't available, so it has to be custom made. Bill has a friend named Jack who lives about 40 miles away from Peoria and does a lot of custom street rod fabrication. Jack will do it, but it takes much longer than he thought cause he can't find the materials with which to make it. Problems are cropping up all along the way and it's taking much longer to get the car ready than I planned. It's getting close to departure time and the car is still a long way from being done.

... We took a cab to the north entrance to meet with them but then ended up taking another cab back to the south entrance to enter. Good thing cabs are cheap in China!
