Today we headed up to the Bronx on the subway, (some interesting charterers on this) to do a tour of Yankee Stadium, the home of the New York Yankee baseball team, where we internationally famous for 2 mins as there was a TV camera crew following our tour for the morning show, oh well got a free Yankees cap out of it. ... without queueing it took over a hour to get up to the top and then down using a number of lifts, stairs and corridors. (the building is not a purpose built observatory so it doesn't handle traffic flow very well). My guess is that using the normal queues would have taken three hours or more. It was not exactly a peaceful way to spend your evening, having said that, New York by night was amazing and I was so glad we had done it - it felt a fitting end to our time in New ...

... Margarita and I had a French Bulldog. It was so nice sitting there watching the boats rowing in the lake, sipping on our drinks - we could happily have sat there all day. Eventually we got up and wandered further into the park and came across the Bethesda Terraces, a gorgeous area of terraced gardens leading down to the water. ... cable car that is part of the NY MTA system, so you can get on with your daily or weekly MTA ticket. It does give you a great view of Manhattan as you climb up parallel with the Roosevelt Island Bridge but I don't think many locals use it much as the Gondola was full of tourists (mainly from Holland!).
