... because somehow we managed to lose the one I used last year. I don't know how you lose a four-foot long, 50 pound keyboard, but there it is.

When I got back to Pembroke Natalie had the idea to go hang out at the pub for a while, so I went with her, Kate, Lauren, and Greg the Med Sci teacher and chatted for a while. It was fun, but it suddenly occurred to me that it is midnight and I have to be up by 6:45 for shift, so I left. Ugh.

... Should have seen the time it took them to clear a table and reset for the next patrons. One person removed the crockery, wait until another removed the dirty linen, then another replaced the linen, then another reset the table. My god would never get a job in Australia. Once seated - in prime position in front of mini orchestra it was positively delightful and so it should have been at 34 pounds! Definitely a once in a life time thing to do.

... late afternoon we biked a few blocks into the town of Woodstock and followed a recommended walking tour of the pretty medieval and renaissance era inns, churches and residences. Given the mood of the day we just had to stay in town for an ale and pub meal… fish and chips for Pat and Venison hot pie for Bill.

... At night even the buses stop, so it becomes very peaceful, though without cars the days aren't terrible. The loudest sounds are of the many workers repairing the buildings--many buildings nearby have scaffolding erected and workers up high on the sides of buildings making repairs during the warm summer.
