... in the surrounding gardens conceived by Markus Sittikus, a man with a wicked sense of humour. He designed a series of practical jokes to pull on his guests - I can just imagine what they must've thought as they got soaked by hidden water fountains at an outdoor dining table or while walking under a carving of a deer head. You can't tour the fountains without getting wet - luckily we only got a bit damp thanks to the tour ...

... The food was truly Norwegian-style with plenty of fish and vegetables. The least successful dish paired scallops & corned beef - not my favorite, a little too outside the box putting seafood & meat together. The most successful was a tie between the carrots with smoked cheese & pumpkin ice cream with camomile cream. The atmosphere was truly memorable and the service was impeccable

... Mozart balls, but ended up finally finding socks as well (thank God!). After my finds I headed back to the hostel. It had been a 30 minute walk back to the hostel in the freezing cold winds. We have had a very slow couple of weeks lately (and some internet issues), but things will be picking up soon. We've been hanging around the area doing small things on the weekend, saving our money for my last two weekends here before I have to go back home. We're going to Amsterdam next weekend for 4 days, and then the following weekend we're going to Rome for 4 days.
