... the church was spectacular - every walkway was framed with beautiful and fragrant flowers and intricate signs. The church catacombs offered a fun break from the beauty as we climbed through narrow passageways and old staircases.

We have had a very slow couple of weeks lately (and some internet issues), but things will be picking up soon. We've been hanging around the area doing small things on the weekend, saving our money for my last two weekends here before I have to go back home. ... finally has his residency permit. All it took was numerous forms filled out, a trip to Washington DC, weeks of waiting, and finally a trip to a nearby city this morning. They did try to keep his original birth certificate for good, and he apparently had a difficult time getting it back. But he finally did and is now a legal resident of Austria. Now we don't have to worry about him getting deported. ...
