Back on the train for a 2:45 hour trip to Salzburg..approx 290 kms south/ west of Vienna..thank heavens for the heated compartments again as the temp dropped to minus seven! Once again as day dawned the snow showed it's thickness.. and did not let up in Salzburg all day. The usual wander/ amble to the chosen accommodation was replaced by taxi....

Anyhow, we were irritated that they hadn’t mentioned that the museum closed 15 minutes earlier than posted as we might not have visited knowing we didn’t have time to listen to the full audioguide.
