We only saw the running part, but assumed they swim in the lake at some point. We actually saw a long swimmer in the lake. It was pouring rain when we got off the bus, so we had to get one of the city's two taxis to take us to our hotel (Kompas Hotel). It cost us 12 euros for a ride that took just 2-3 minutes!     ... in Salzburg was too short to go to the castle so yes to coffee at Starbucks and watching the crowd go by in the main shopping street. Then the really interesting part of the day began .
