... really gave an insight into all that has happened in Berlin and added that personal touch. We started the tour in the west with about 18 of us and we pretty much hopped on the train to head to the east straight away as apparently other than the remains of the bombed church and the zoo there's not much to see in the west. we had a really pleasnt evening where we managed to communicate with each other limitly but seemed to enjoy each others company. it has definetly made me more determined to try and learn German.

We caught a taxi home and had an icecream at Rickies before retiring for the night

... strawberry pieces and gingerbread. They collected the ingredients, mixed it with chocolate and then put it in the mould. We picked it up 40 mins later. After that we raced like crazy to make it in time for the only guided English tour of Gedenkstatte Hohenschonhausen. It was a prison and headquarters for the stazis back in the day.
