... but it's extremely expensive, and I booked Rotterdam as a backup and then messaged couch surfing hosts looking for a better option. I must have messaged over 20 people over the last few days and either no one responds or they decline for one reason or another, so it looks like I'm staying in Rotterdam. the top section of the old palce was where their grandson and his wife lived and is a lot lighter and less elaborate in design.

We also saw the crowd jewels and a magnificent silver table setting. We finished our tour off with a chilled glass of wine in the garden surrounded by the orange buildings.
