A group of about 12 of us went to the Cottbuss Zoo, a 10-minute walk from our show facility. We saw many different animals and planted a tree by the yaks :) There was even an Up With People dedication plaque included next to our tree so that the world will know that we were there! How cool!

We sang with some monkeys, hung out with the sheep and... (drumroll please) FED THE ELEPHANTS! It was so fun but I was actually ...

... 6 hours and countless activities later, we were finishing up fika (yes! they have fika here too!) and heading out the door!

Our family and friends went really well and my host family loved it! My host sister even took a video of me singing "With One Heart". I've already posted a link of the video on here before but this one is a better view. Enjoy!

Before leaving Kerstin and Hans' home on Friday morning, they gave us gifts! We received chocolate bars and a book about typical Swedish holidays. AND I got Kerstin's recipe for apple pie :) Another great thing to make when I come home!

Enjoyed a nice couple of days in Spreewald, a network of natural canals in an area the size of the ACT. The thing to do here is to go on one of the canal rides, it's a must. Another is to cycle around the region, we did a little of both and also stayed at the Radler (meaning Cycling).
