... Today Salzburg produces 100,000 tonnes of salt each year although it's a very minor source of income for the city, with the main activities being higher education and tourism. The German border is only 20 kms beyond the city. We had lunch at a little cafe about 20 metres from the house where Mozart was born and lived for his first 17 years. Coming home we were escorted through the Salzburg train station because of the number of Syrian refugees trying ...

... had great food and we met Sebastian's 7 year old little brother Max who kept the girls entertained because he was "So cute!" Once we were done we headed back down the trail to the lakes edge and had our drinks and took photos probably spending an hour or so at the lakes edge. Max came with us and found an audience for his dancing which was a crack up. It was very cold even though the surrounding mountains didn't have any snow yet it is ...

... The bells were ringing calling the parishioners to church. We then turned around, cycled passed the boat and boarded the first little ferry to cross the river and join Rad 1, the cycle path along the Danube. Our first stop was at a farm where we had chocolate and poppy seed cake, washed down with apple juice as the farm didn't have a licence to sell coffee. Whilst at the farm we saw our ship, M S Normandia sail by. We had ...
