... clock tower is a beautiful site. After exploring and learning about the fortress we walked back down then through the tunnel. The history of this place truly blew us away. We stopped at a cafe for some drinks and people watching before freshening up at the hotel. Pete read somewhere that the Glockenturm ring its bells a couple of hundred times at 7am, 12pm and 7pm, so we were back out for some drinks by 7 to listen to the bells. ... it enroute, as I have time (a few hours) and Wifi onboard. Marnie, imagine if we'd had Wifi back in the day when we travelled from Nice to Paris (or was it Paris to Nice)? ... perhaps most on edge - which wasn't helped as a guy went tanking past us with two women shouting at him to stop as he'd clearly stolen one of their jackets/bags, along with a load of locals also trying to stop him... at which point we made a point of checking to make sure our padlock was attached properly and that we had nothing on us which wasn't padlocked...!

We then headed out to meet some of the guys who work for the F1, who we found out amazingly have managed to get us paddock passes for whilst we're there, and are also taking us to the circuit and back each day, as it turns out public transport is non existant! (Grateful doesn't come close)!

... I took. The buildings have a Mediterranean look to them and there are bright colours absolutely everywhere! The sidewalks are very thin, so it’s rather chaotic attempting to walk around and bicycles seem to go wherever they please.
