We were nearly an hour late boarding our flight from Frankfurt to Moscow. They eventually bussed us out to the aircraft then left us sitting on the bus while they checked out a 'technical fault'. ... buddies, had arrived from Philly and we were flying to Africa together. First stop: food! Especially since I had slept through dinner and drink service on my first flight and literally sat in my seat without moving for 8 hours. At least the girl two seats over was cute.

This morning we rose somewhat slowly and a tad hungover but said our goodbyes to Andre and made our way back to Germany, towards Berlin. We decided not to go all the way to Berlin but stopped in a little village in a field pretty much, no facilities to speak of except for electricity. I had a nice cycle, did some cross stitch, watched the sunset and we had a nice quiet, early night to recover from last night!

It was a quiet drive from Berlin to Frankfurt...I think everyone was tired. Merry and I napped and read while the guys chatted in the front seat. Countryside was mostly farmland with some cattle grazing. Had a little drama finding the hotel at the airport as the airport does not allow prominent signage.
