... She would put them against the tree and when they popped she would jump almost a foot in the air. It was the funniest thing!! This little Dutch lady, popping balloons and jumping. ... all come from the farm, and they drink it almost 24/7) work till 1:30, lunch time... This is the place on which I have the most difficulty here at the farm, waiting from 8:30 to 1:30 to eat!!! That is five hours! I last about two, and then I feel like I am starving. My blood sugar drops, and my head starts to pound, and I feel weak all over. It is not super fun. ... Enschede town centre; a very busy and pleasant place; even the Navigator managed to buy 2 bikinis! Even managed to persuade her to get into the heated pool on the site. However, it wasn't heated enough for liking so the experience was short lived...hey ho!

... course Arnold's wife Irene had prepared the obligatory coffee and kuchen which was delicious :) Arnold, who is now 78 years of age, had always been like an older brother to me.
Many stories relating to our survival of the second world war and my early childhood were retold and enjoyed by all!
