    ... journey even given the road works and we arrived in Dresden just after 3pm (left Berlin at 1230) For a small(er) city it was quite busy. The hotel is nice and central and we walked to dinner. The city is amazing - considering most of it was destroyed by allied bombing in WW2 its been rebuilt and the buildings still look like they are hundreds of years ...

    ... then turned it off again pretty quickly. It was full of the Greek people celebrating and going crazy at the winning of the "no” vote. I’m not exactly sure whey they have such cause to celebrate!! I don’t think many of them know either?

    ... renovations - possible damaged in the 2012 flood? We came through an industrial area with Usti in sight. There is a huge rock quarry on the western side of the town that is chewing away at what appears to be the blue metal used on roads.
