Landhotel Interlaken

... chalets. Some chalets were so close together in narrow streets that I'm sure you would be able to hear the neighbour’s conversations.

We went back to Interlaken and went to a chocolate shop to buy some Pave which I had heard about and to do some grocery shopping and then get in to cook dinner before the kitchen got crowded.

Having too much time there really needn’t have been a concern, we were waiting for the bus with only five minutes to spare and had a good chat to a German couple we met who, of course, had a gorgeous dog that I wanted to pat!

I forgot to put my feet back down under me slamed back into the wall. It didn't really hurt but was more of a surprise. So now we come to the second choice of blog title. Twice a year the cows are moved. In the fall they come home from the Alpine pastures and in Spring they return….bells and all!

We have been spending the last few day's hiking some of the best of the lower mountain hikes Switzerland has to offer. Some of the views we have stumbled across have been magnificent. Glacier lakes, snow capped mountains (Shona's particular favorite), and the lush green pastures. ... Swiss restaurant, where we heard yodelling and alp horn. Tow and I had a go on the long alp horn, and he was far better that I was. After dinner we had a full fledged snowball flight, Mich excluded, with Andy caining us - he got one hit on my right eye, which stung for a while, but I accepted it because it was a damn good shot from quite a distance. We finished the night with drinks in the hostel's bar, after listening to my iPod and turning on Hamish and Andy for some entertainment.

So I literally dragged the 7 yr old who has become my shadow although I can't understand a word she says to me up a steep hill trying to convince her not to cry for the whole hour where by lea left us to get the car and return to collect us. So, It was another late night, and when Jen and I got back to our hotel room with the possessed bathroom that basically kicked our asses, we had a bit of a case of the giggles!
