It was really beautiful walking through the forest. Hiking in winter is really special because everything is white, you hear the crunch of your footsteps on the snow and as the sunlight hits the leaves, they sometimes drop their snow coverings in showers of fine ice crystals. You definitely need good boots and gloves though!
