... 260 stairs up to the old fortress and saw the clock tower, etc. There was a great view from the top.
Today after sleeping in, I headed out to find these so called museums and galleries. I got sidetracked on my way to a cafe for coffee and food when I saw a beautiful park with many benches begging me to sit and stay for a while. Headed to the grocery store, bought some cheese, crackers, and fruit (my favorite meal!) and headed to the park ...
... br>Warren's German includes phrases such as "Ich liebe dich" (I love you), "Danke" (Thank you), and... "Ich liebe meine gute Lederhosen" (I love my good leather pants)**... which he figured out how to say all on his own.
Overall our time in Graz was so relaxing. We kind of just went around at a slow pace, and didn't feel like we needed to rush to see a bunch of touristy attractions (like in some other cities). But, we still did a ...
We drove from Vienna south to Graz, which was a lovely little city. We parked Fred along the river and walked into town. The main old square was having a chocolate festival! so there were a lot of people milling around with spoons in their hands. They bought the spoons and then could taste different kinds of chocolate from vendors…very tempting but we had things to see. We decided to take the glass lift through the hill to the top of Castle Hill ...
Graz, Styria, Austria armajor7... just went down the pedestrian street a ways, and the hotel we would find there was just as nice. So we took his advice and ended up here, which is exactly as he described. The pedestrian street is long and full of interesting shops and restaurants, leading to the centre square. Our hotel is at the far end, where the pedestrian street meets the car-friendly roads. Just above us is a castle. It is illuminated with colourful lights at night.

Informed by hitchwiki.com i knew how to hitch out of Belgrad. That worked out well, and i was on the highway at around 9am. Thumbing directly on the motorway brings quick success, although most of the rides are short. I arrived at the boarder to Croatia after 3 rides, from there i was quite lucky. The next lift took me to Zagreb, and from there i immediatly caught a ride to ...
... a shopping mall next to the hostel, just because staying in the room doing nothing is really boring. We take our umbrellas but it's useless, by the end we get completely soaked because of the strong wind.
We stay at the mall till night. When they close we go back to the hostel and we ask in the reception for some table-games; they have lots and lots of them but the great majority are in german. Perfect... Tonight is ...
... 5 crazy bruce springsteen fans from Italy in a tour bus!! We had really greal loves, singing and discussing 2 Music of Bruce the whole time.. :D They dropped me at Maribor, where from after 10 minutes i continued my way to zagreb with a cuople from Czech. The last lift has been a nice man from Zagreb, who briefed me about some important things to know about Croatia as well as Zagreb itself.

... Turning onto the road the Gps told us we were only 2kms from the campsite!!!Feeling lucky we walked back to the campsite passing little homes with their vegie patches being tended by ladies. What was amazing too was that so many people young and old rode pushbikes including very old women doing the shopping. Back at camp I tested my element with a cup of tea made by boiling the water and was chuffed as this would both save gas and give me an extra element to cook with ...
Graz, Styria, Austria kasnsqueak... Saalbach and you can ski as far as Leogang and back. My final experience of Austria was trying to get out. It had taken about 2 hours to get to the ski resort from Verona airport and it took 7 hours to get back. I have never seen snowfall like it. Happily for us , we had booked with Neilsen (easily the best company to ski with) and they are owned by Thomas Cook who also owned the plane taking us home. As a result, we were assured that the ...
