Landhaus Seela Braunschweig

Today we took the S-Bahn to the University and I showed her where I go to class and where my institute is. Then we took the scenic walk back to the Altstadt, through the parks and along the river. We got supplies for the feast and headed back to Weststadt to help out. Surprisingly everything turned out ok. We played basketball and football before everything was finished ...

We headed to the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof to get tickets back to Braunshweig. We stopped in Hannover for 1 hour and we quickly walked through some of the shopping section. We were tired when we finally arrived so we hung out in my room for a while just relaxing. We hung out with all of the URI students in Weststadt and it was a lot of fun.

... which was around 18,000 people I think but the music wasn’t that great and German’s don’t really know how to just have fun and be silly. Sometimes we felt like we were the only people singing to even the German songs. After the 1,000 people practiced the choreographed dance (a shortened version) about 10 times and 4 hours later they finally filmed the real version for the show. I do not want to hear that song for a long time now! It was pretty fun and crazy ...

... It was pretty intense, especially since the crazy Mob-like Braunschweig fans were singing songs the whole time. Then we got ready for the Halloween party at Shunter. It takes forever to get there but eventually we did. The party was slow and not really Halloween-like since all the Germans just put on face paint to look scary and haven’t really gotten into the interesting/funny ...

It was a beautiful day outside so Wendy and I decided to take a walk in the Nature conservatory area on the edge of the city. It took a long time to get there (40 minutes) but we walked around for about 2 hours and saw some beautiful landscape. It was nice to get away from the city and enjoy the Fall colors.

Today we graduated from Summer School yaay! We had a mini ceremony where we received our papers saying the hours we completed and our grades. The teachers each gave a small speech but at least it was fairly short. I passed and got 6 credits towards my German major ...

... got to eat free currywurst in the cafeteria which was really good. Then we were able to explore on our own if we wanted and then head back to Braunschweig. That night we also had another party for the completion of our summer classes. We had to make our own food again, so I made barbeque chicken, and everyone else made really good food. The place where it was located is tricky to get to but it was fun.

Dorf= Village
We traveled to Wolfbrittel today on the 420 bus, which is an adorable little village (Dorf) right outside of Braunschweig! Went to the Jägermeister plant they have there. It was a fantastic tour! Got up around 10, showered, got coffee and croissant at Shell station next to my dorm hehe!!
Met Wendy and went to Park by the river on our way to the campus, very pretty! Surprisingly everything is very clean here and things are extremely well maintianed.
