A very international christmas!

Today didn't really feel a lot like christmas and we were unable to get in touch with family but it was nice to just chill and relax throughout the day. Adrian and Daniel worked away in the kitchen creating their international dishes; Eloise and I whipped together some chocolate spiders!! All other attempts at finding ingredients for other recipes failed in the German supermarkets!

The party didn't start until the evening; ...

... Paris, mapped the route and were almost ready to go (only about 4-5 hours away) when Jarrod decided he just wanted chicken nuggets and bed haha :) From here on in, Jaga and Brandy led the night.. Counting drinking games with Spanish numbers are never a good idea when you can only count to 6 in the language!! Fair to say I took that last shot and I am a blank to the night until Nick woke me in the early hours of the morning.. Eloise sure had a hard night and a sore head the next ...

... was Temmens birthday so after a feed in Landstuhl at one of the many American tailored take away joints we met at a local Sheisha bar for a couple of quiet drinks, meeting a few others from the Squadron. It was a pretty low key night just making quick stops at a local bar or two before heading back.

Adrian dropped us at a nearby village, Landstuhl, this morning as it has the nearest train station. The weather was pretty miserable but not too cold, not quite what I had expected from Germany in December.

First stop coffee! and breakfast.. We had an entire day to kill so wandered the village, there wasn't a lot to see really. A castle perched on a hill overlooking the area but due to the rain we decided it was not a good idea to climb up for a look.
