... beautiful. After eating we head back to the town center to get better pictures. We finally find The Town Musicians statue. It's a statue of a rooster on a cat on a dog on a donkey. It depicts the brothers Grimm tale of the Town Musicians. Google the meaning it's long. We take a better picture with the Statue of Roland and head back to our hotel. ... beers from Germany. People were just drinking beer, eating food and enjoying the good weather. (Btw it was 70ish and sunny the whole day!). After a few beers we go back to the hotel for a quick nap break. After our nap we went back to the river bank and hit up some places for a few drinks. ... we met and then came back...not a lot to be said for this area except the Port and Shipping Canal was something to see but being on the A1, stopping to take pictures of massive container ships being load or unloaded as well as sailing under very high bridges may not the be the local Polizie's idea of sight seeing!

... my German had become a little rusty, and Johanna's mother didn't speak the best English. What resulted were hilarious conversations in some sort of English-Germany creole. But as those who have travelled before will know - a language barrier does not stop you having fun! Walking together around the Christmas markets I found out much about Johanna's mother, as she told me all about the farm they own in southern Germany.

... a lot, beautiful big flakes and with the wind whipping it up and into little drifts. We spent no less than 3 hours looking out the window, opening the window to catch it in our hands, and I even popped out to have a walk around on our snowy sidewalk! It's been getting pretty cold now too, down to -8 at night the other night!!!

We've also got some more travel plans coming up ...
