    ... go CRAZY with them. There wasn’t a spot on the horizon that didn’t have fireworks going off. And it went all night long. The hostel told us to keep our windows closed because any open window is a target for people to shoot fireworks at. Around 2 we walked around the main city center watching people shoot fireworks at each other. It looked like a riot had happened in the city. There were boxes on fire everywhere and people we shooting fireworks at each other. ...

    ... the vintage 8 pin bowling alley they had below the dining area in the main hotel.

    Not long after our arrival the Germans won the quarter final of the World Cup and fireworks went off in daylight across the valley with huge echoing cracks and booms. The crowd in the dining room cheered and there were constant “toots” across the valley from cars and trucks travelling on the autobahn.

    ... wonderful. I also got to have a sit on Linus' Nelson. He is the stable and Linus's favourite. He is worth about the same as a nice sports car. Linus said she would rather have Nelson than a car and after riding him today I can definitely see why. Warwick left for Finland last night.
