Darkness enveloped the room I shared with precious granddaughter Annalise, but the call of my other half woke my sleepy body and at 4:45am I was up and running. All prepared and ready to go when the cab arrived to take me to Heathrow for the flight to Hanover, Germany! Arriving in Hanover, I was met by the lovely Henry and Werner (the husband of Lydia who is Henry's cousin). Werner took us back to their place in Braunschweig ...

    Day 5

Overcast today but still no rain. Easy day of 45 km. The pension is fabulous with saunas and a pool. We went for singles again at 35E each mitt frustuch. Much of the ride today was through oak and pine woods mixed with open meadow and marsh. Zander filet for dinner again tonight.
75 km tomorrow with 40% chance of rain. We stop in Wittenberg which is apparently the home of ...

Then it was back to the vans for a hot chocolate before bedtime. So once again I will try and say goodbye to the travelling KaMeHeRo's although I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow they aren't helping us pack up our stuff and pick ...

The emotions were running high this morning as we prepared to say goodbye to the Mulder's. There were tears and tantrums and requests to 'go where they are going' and threats and bargaining and I finally managed to calm Jess down and told her it would all be OK and then the girls started. Ruby wouldn't get out of bed and refused to have any breakfast, Allegra told me she would give up ice cream and Lily offered me all her ice creams for three weeks. We had a bit of a ...
