Today we left Croatia (sadly), we had the most amazing time there. We left Rijeka in the rain, the plan was to walk around the city this morning and have a look, however the rain deterred us so we packed the car and headed off. ... 6 miles and dropped anchor in Prklog which was a lovely long inlet totally protected with just one other boat. It felt like we could have been in a Swiss forest some where as there were so many tall pine trees. Needless to say storms arrived after midnight and we find ourselves playing scrabble at 4am in the morning ...

Another day of great riding, lots of fast bends, good road surfaces, marvellous scenery, interesting villages, good coffee and lots of traffic to use as mobile bollards. Next stop was Rovinj. This area of Croatia has a heavy Italian influence, their second language here is Italian and most signs are in both Italian and Croatian. Rovinji reminded me a little bit of a combination of Chinque Terra and Venice. I walked up the church bell tower with Helen and Gordon and thought I was going to die!!!
