... the beautiful sunroom they have. Pete and Bert were also comparing notes on the hardship of being a "floaty pen husband" – how every vacation is spent hunting for pens!
We then checked into our hotel and met Biggy and Bert downstairs in the restaurant an hour later for dinner. Wow! What a meal! It was huge and so delicious. No room for dessert, that’s for sure!
Renata left us in the centre of Hengelo around 9.30am. The main shopping area is pedestrianised, so it is nice to walk around. Dad's ghost walked round with us, nodding occasionally at some of the older buildings. I think he recognised the church but when I asked he just shrugged. "I was only four," he said.
During the war, the Dutch were starving. The cities, like Utrecht, fared worst, and many people travelled to ...
The cashew nuts were in a huff with me, after their earlier failure to give adequate directions. They folded their nutty arms and refused to tell me when to change motorways. I ended up back-tracking through a small village with no useful signposts, and some locals who waved every time we drove back past them looking for the way out. The cashew nuts smirked at me.
It was quite late by the time we got to Sander and Renata's farmhouse on the outskirts of Hengelo. It is a lovely ...
Haren, Lower Saxony, Germany 10a... the textiles and machinery industries. It currently focuses on industry relationships. They have a very large nano program. Attached is a picture of the Nanolabs they are constructing. It makes me feel like home. Also is a picture of a clock tower in the middle of the pond. Because the school is so new, they needed to invent a history. They put a church tower in the middle of the pond and have created a very elaborate mythology.

In My Mind, Germany gideonsglobe... next day I take Justus to school on the motorbike after lunch, all his class mates are really impressed and ask me lots of things. Again I realize how much I love to spend my time with kids! After dinner it's time to make the last stretch to my final destination: My brothers'place! As I am invited to come and stay with them again.
Emmen, Netherlands foegoer... get their exercise. The horses were really pretty with the funniest names - Gameboy, Eddie, and I don't remember the third one. Oopss.... Sandra's parents prepared a German BBQ for us. It was soooo good! If you asked me what kind of meat I had, I couldn't tell you, and honestly, I don't think I'd want to know. I think it was pork though. Then we went out for ice cream. I was so full! But it was a great time. I came back to England the ...
Vreden, Germany pianoandguitarsTravelled by train from Amsterdam to Enschede which is in the east of the country. My purpose was to visit the School of Management at the University of Twente. The university is situated in a very beautiful parkland environment. Stayed at the Hotel Eden de Broeierd which is situated close to the university. The hotel itself is in a nice setting and very quiet.
