Journey to Interlaken
... Jungfrau. Jungfrau is the name of the biggest mountain that overlooks Interlaken. Oddly, the Victoria Jungfrau has a Hooters in front of it. I can say with certainty that it is the first Hooters I’ve seen in Europe. We passed through a little park with information about the Japanese, Czech, American, Chinese and German “Sister Cities” of Interlaken to which the park was dedicated. At the train station, we purchased passes to *the top of Europe," the Jungfraujoch, for 200 Swiss francs. Our guidebook assured us that cost should not defer us from this excursion. We are thankful for our Swiss rail passes, which for this purchase saved us a substantial 50%. We again boarded a train to Wengen, and ...
