    ... and mucked around at Patrick's place for the day.

    ... is coal fired it thrown out quite a lot of cinders from its exhaust and as we pass I notice many people who were standing rather close to us wipe the cinders from their hair after we went by.

    Of course riding along the streets on this little steam machine meant that we had to follow and simply fit in with the other trams on the line. We of course were non stop but the trams ahead of course had to stop along the way and so our driver simply took it easy and just kept plodding ...

    ... had a beer. Haley and Arron met up with us here and Tino was kind enough to treat all of us to our drinks. We walked to the parliament building which was open to the public as a special treat for the holiday. We didn't end up making it in time to visit the inside of the building, but the views from out front were wonderful to see anyway. Tino left us to prepare for the barbecue we were having for dinner and the five of us wandered around the city for a bit before getting some groceries ...

    ... taken a turn for the worse, and she was admitted into hospital as she was in a lot of pain. The doctor's prognosis was not very good so it looked like she was going to spend a few days in hospital, so we had the house to ourselves for a bit. The next day we were hoping to go up to the mountains but the weather was not great. It was a very expensive exercise so we decided to wait and see if the weather would improve.     ... skiing season.

    This area is certainly an adventurous place to visit, the only draw-back is to add about 20% more than you expect to spend, but come anyway. Although we hope that when you visit, the weather is clear enough to get some of the magical photos that we missed. We did buy ourselves a couple of postcards to show what it should have looked like.
