Its always a little awkward doing this wild camping thing. Its not officially illigal, but its definitely not somethig that parents teach their kids. When jan climbed out the tent this morning, he startled an early morning dog walker who wasnt quite sure what to make of the situation.
We packed up rather quickly after that, and breakfasted on the almighty coco-pops. Om-nom-nom! We never buy this **** at home, but on a bike tour, we can ...

So after planning to get an early start... which again only happened shortly before 10, because actual beds are just so dam comfy, we were on our way direction basel. NOTHING is open! The only reason we put Mulhouse on our itinerary was the car museum. It was Andrew and Alain's dream to visit this museum, one of the largest car collections in the world. YAWN! So Andrew and Alain headed off this morning to live out their fantasies and the rest of us walked into town to find some breakfast. We ended up at the railway station where we had petit dejeuner.....breakfast. Nothing else was open. Certainly no Sunday morning cafe culture ...

... most liveable and sustainable town. Incredibly our day of riding the trains cost us nothing because we have regional guest cards which are issued by all accommodation providers to overnight stayers. They give free travel and other discounts within a set region for the time of your stay. It is somewhat humbling to be treated so well. The scenery was great, alpine villages, meadows, lakes and ski resorts. Tomorrow we get back on the ebikes and cross the Rhein into France. Yippee. Love ...
