... a food court. Not much was open when we walked through initially, but as the day went on, it really got going. We found a great local bar (open at 10:30am local time) and sat down for a drink and some food. They gave us a couple great Pauliner beers, and let us try a couple others.They were all really good. ... the gooey, creamy cheese with crispy baked crust. On the subject of baked things, I have developed quite a taste for pretzels for breakfast this week, realising that the tiny snacks in bags that airlines hand out are not the real McCoy, which is actually a fluffy is delicious, crunchy very yummy creation. Between the cheese, bread, chocolate and booze, I am gradually beginning to resemble one of the dumplings I have also been scoffing...

Late-afternoon flight from Dubrovnik arrived in Munich around 1830. Took S-Bahn and the U-Bahn to our Gasthaus in Garching, north of Munich, where we decided to stay to avoid having to drive in Munich traffic and hassle with parking. Public transportation in Munich is so good and so reasonably-priced that we delayed even picking up our car until the day we'd be leaving Munich for Salzburg.

... be 3.30pm, so we lose around 6 hours. I managed to get a little sleep during the night, but am still tired. I only noticed this morning that there is wifi on the plane, so this is good to catch up on messages. Now am at Hong Kong Airport and almost time to catch the plane to Taiwan.
