... Volcanic Park to Nevada. What I liked about CA: They put traffic warnings on the road at a lot of places. If there is a stop up ahead they will write it on the road, lanes have turn arrows. The variety of weather, you could be in the valley and in an hour be in the mountains or on the coast. Yes indeed we were out of here at 11:17. It took us two hours to get to Vacaville....love that bay area traffic. Not much new on I-5 northbound to Red Bluff. Arrived at Durango, love this RV Resort....Luigis delivers right to your RV spot. ...

... judgement a bit on this RV park and the Redding/Red Bluff area since it was so oppressively hot at 106 degrees that we stayed in the A/C most of the day. Even the dogs didn't want to go out.

From our overnight stop at Klamath Falls it was only a short drive across the border into California as we headed towards Mt Shasta another snow capped volcano (over 14000 ft) that last erupted only 200 years ago.
