    Rude, unfriendly, unhelpful sevice

This place is cheap as chips - a single room with fan and WiFi can be procured for a mere 120 baht. Needless to say, the accommodation is very basic (hard single beds, paper-thin bamboo walls, etc. etc.) but this is nothing compared to the unnecessary rudeness of the Lamchang hostess. She initially short-changed me (quite possibly an honest mistake), but after insisting on having my correct change refunded, she became so unpleasant and rude that it made the rest of my stay very unenjoyable. This was even AFTER I did my utmost to be kind and pleasant to overcome the initial misunderstanding. Some friends stayed at a much newer, more modern, cleaner establishment up the road (Thai 1 On, Moon Maung Soi 9) for only 150 baht for a single room with WiFi.

... of us, especially including me, completely freaked out when we got there. The cliff was probably over 30 feet high, higher then I imagined. The people that had been there before jumped pretty easily, but for me and some of the others, we completely freaked out. I stood up there debating weather or not to do it. I'm not going to lie, I was scared to death, but I will also admit I'm even more scared to be writing this out now, knowing my mom ...

    Morning walk and yoga anatomy

On Fridays we go on a morning walk. I think we've exhausted morning walk options after 2 walks because today we took a yellow truck to Doi Saket and visited the Doi Saket temple. It's the beautiful temple that Jaa and I walked into on the first Saturday we were here. We went into the main temple, which we couldn't do last time because they were preparing for a blessing ceremony. Thai temples are so sparkly and bling bling, I tell you! I ...

... down. I had breakfast on the lawn - a fruit plate of the juiciest and sumptuous proportions. Anna, of the Cookery school picked me up in her truck, three empty baskets on the floor awaiting market purchases. Ten of us altogether were taken to the market and learnt out the main ingredients used in Thai cooking. Most of them were already familiar, but shopping in Sainsbury's isn't quite the same. Fresh tamarind, ginsing and turmeric are not sadly part of ...
