    Rude, unfriendly, unhelpful sevice

This place is cheap as chips - a single room with fan and WiFi can be procured for a mere 120 baht. Needless to say, the accommodation is very basic (hard single beds, paper-thin bamboo walls, etc. etc.) but this is nothing compared to the unnecessary rudeness of the Lamchang hostess. She initially short-changed me (quite possibly an honest mistake), but after insisting on having my correct change refunded, she became so unpleasant and rude that it made the rest of my stay very unenjoyable. This was even AFTER I did my utmost to be kind and pleasant to overcome the initial misunderstanding. Some friends stayed at a much newer, more modern, cleaner establishment up the road (Thai 1 On, Moon Maung Soi 9) for only 150 baht for a single room with WiFi.

... ready to go! I knew that it was going to be a tough month but wow, after two days I literally could not move. Luckily a week in and my body doesn't ache anymore but it's still just as hard. The sessions start off with running/ skipping then move onto shadow boxing and learning new combinations. The next hour varies day to day and can be learning techniques, practising with a trainer, sparring with others in the class or hard interval training. Then it's onto ab work, and ...

One place stuck out as unmissable in all the places we read up on in Chiang Rai: Wat Rong Khun aka the White Temple. This is a contemporary, out of town complex which is still being constructed but it needs to be seen to be believed- it was a fairly ordinary ancient temple but ...

We decorated an area like a luau and we dressed in luau attire! There was a Hawaiian like punch complete with Hawaiian straws, an umbrella and a piece of pineapple. We got all this done barely in the 4 hours allotted! This was ...
