... bay which so happened to be close to the universal city shops that lead direct to the park entrance. Score! We joined the crowd moving swiftly to the front entrance, passing the large buildings adorned with themed lighting and characters that made the universal city walk. We headed to Splash Mountain which I was dreading as there was a 50 foot drop where our ...

... a pass for another bus. Finally we could see the sea - we had made it! We got off and headed down to Santa Monica Beach. First port of call was a fresh lemonade stand and then muscle beach - aptly named as there were a lot of very muscly men working out!! We decided to walk along Santa Monica and to get to Venice Beach. Walking along it was just like we had imagined, we were passed by people on bikes, skates and running, ...

... amp; sleazy as everyone described. Was too hungover to deal with all the hagglers & homeless people. Took no photos. Amazingly there were no celebrities in sight.....shocking! Drove to Venice Beach, paid $12 to park in a car park where we slept for a good couple of hours. Walked a bit along the broad walk & had some yummy fish burgers. Decided we should find a campground & return to Venice another day when we were in better ...
