So the rains saved me last week from doing this run, but all sunshine today. Nowhere to hide now. We loaded the bus to head to the base of the hill that leads up to the Big Buddha. So many of us had never run it, but we all heard what a brutal run it the bus ride was filled with nerves and questioning why we had signed up for this?! Our final day in Phuket.
Had a leisurely morning - Karin, Mark and I headed for the beach massage after breakfast. Check out at 12 - so packed up then met the others at the cafe for lunch and farewells.
      Many happy memories created.

We were then picked up at 4pm and headed for the airport for our 8pm flight to Singapore- then Brisbane.

We ended up having drinks at a rock n roll bar with live music. I ended up running into a girl I met while in Alleppy ...

      Day 56: Phuket, Thailand

A travel blog entry by bmcswag on Nov 27, 2013

Flew from Tawau to KL to Phuket. Arrived in Phuket and took a cab to Patong area. As we were driving down we realized that it was just a whole bunch of hotels/hostels and bars everywhere you looked. It's not wonder they call it the Las Vegas of Thailand! We quickly understood why people told us not to bother with it, but we only planned on staying a night and heading out ...
