... massage. For dinner we decided to try some other type of food rather then Thai. When in doubt, hit the internet and go to Trip Advisor. ... sailing. The winds were great initially about 15 knots but then picked up (contrary to forecast - a common theme with winds!) to more than 23 gusting 27. Unfortunately at that point we had full sails up (bad) and were trucking along nicely about 8 kts occasionally 8.5 kts. I remember being a bit paralyzed by the fear of not knowing what to do. A travel blog entry by hmetevier2 on Jun 24, 2014

Driving down through the main tourist towns of Patong and Karron we couldn't help but notice how quiet it is here, this isn't the hustling busy Phuket I remembered from my last visit in 2009. The curfew had just been lifted the night before and I think all the travel warnings and the ongoing coo in Bangkok had really effected the tourism here. I felt sorry for the local people who relied on this to put food on their ...

... at Ko Lanta, it was a lovely island and we would love to go back. Final stop before we meet my mum, dad and our Ryan in Bangkok is Phuket. I'm currently writing this in a lovely little coffee shop we've found in Phuket town where we've had breakfast most mornings and also spent last night getting a little tipsy here! Phuket Town is only small, it reminds us a little bit of Georgetown in Malaysia. We've spent most days walking around town and looking in the little ...
